The event aims to recognize and honour philanthropists (Bhamashahs) and benefactors (Preraks) who have made significant contributions towards the development of schools and educational institutions by providing financial assistance, infrastructure, and other essential resources.
Based on recommendations received from the Block Education Offices, a total of 19 Bhamashahs and 5 Preraks were nominated for recognition. Out of these, 8 philanthropists and 3 motivators have been selected for district-level honours, while 11 Bhamashahs and 2 Preraks have been recommended for state-level recognition.
The Bhamashah Honour Ceremony is an annual initiative aimed at encouraging individuals, organizations, and institutions to actively contribute to the advancement of education. By recognizing these exemplary contributors, the Education Department seeks to inspire greater community participation in strengthening educational infrastructure and creating better learning opportunities for students.
